Clothed in Kindness started with a simple idea: what we wear can say something about us without having to explain everything about us.

And people are complicated.

We can believe deeply and still have questions. Care about kindness and still have backbone. Take our work seriously and ourselves considerably less so. We can love coffee, old sayings, Halloween, our kids, the gym, our faith, a ridiculous joke and a shirt that reminds us of somebody we love.

Sometimes all before lunch.

That's why Clothed in Kindness was never meant to fit neatly into one box.

Apparel That Sounds Like You

Our collections wander because people do.

You'll find kindness and faith here, but also humor, retro nostalgia, coffee, fitness, astrology, leadership, family, seasonal life and original art. Some designs mean something. Some make a point. Some start conversations. Others exist because they made us laugh and we thought somebody else might laugh too.

That's enough reason for us.

We make graphic tees, premium vintage-feel tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, hats, youth apparel and other pieces designed to become part of your actual life—not a uniform for the person you're supposed to be.

Kindness Has Backbone

Kindness is at the center of our name, but we've never believed kindness means being passive, timid or agreeable about everything.

Kindness can be strong. Faith can have a sense of humor. Curiosity can live beside conviction. You can care deeply about people and still disagree with them.

We're interested in that middle space where real humans tend to live.

Why So Many Collections?

Because you probably don't wake up every morning feeling like exactly the same version of yourself.

There are days for Be the Hands and Feet and days for Emotionally Supported by Coffee. There are gym days, pumpkin-patch days, nostalgic days and days when the shirt you grab mostly needs to make you smile.

Your closet doesn't need a mission statement.
